So what design are you going with? We do love to talk about benches don't we. Roubo is the #1 search term that brings people to my site.
I think there was a passage in one of the Workbench books that said "beware the new". I ripped that page out and threw it in the fire.
I'll be posting more details as I go, but I have some special needs due to the small size of my shop and my tendency to put 10lbs of crap in a 5 lb bag. I have 4 steel columns to work around also, so I am going with a knock-down design. The LVL top will be two 10" wide by 7ft long beams. Stay tuned! I don't want to commit until I make sure it works, but I think I have a great easy solution for an end vise solution!
